The Pixel Watch 3 is now available in two sizes, each with its own price point. The smaller 41mm Pixel Watch 3 is priced at:

  • $349 for the Wi-Fi-only version

The Pixel Watch 3 design

Google has now added two size options to its Pixel Watch, bringing it in line with competitors like Apple, Samsung, and Garmin. The Pixel Watch 3 is now available in both 41mm and 45mm sizes. The larger model’s design is largely unchanged, however it does have a larger display. Both sizes are made from 100 percent recycled aluminum.

For the 45mm variant, you can pick between:

  • Matte Black Aluminum case with Obsidian Active Band
  • Polished Silver Aluminum case with Porcelain Active Band
  • Matte Hazel Aluminum case with Hazel Active Band

The 41 mm variant is available in:

  • Matte Black Aluminum case with Obsidian Active Band
  • Polished Silver Aluminum case with Porcelain Active Band
  • Champagne Gold Aluminum case with Hazel Active Band
  • Polished Silver Aluminum case with Rose Quartz Active Band

The Pixel Watch 3 retains its predecessor’s impressive 5ATM water resistance, putting it on par with other high-end smartwatches. With an IP68 classification, you may take it for a swim without fear of water damage.

The Pixel Watch 3 display

The Pixel Watch 3 now comes in two sizes and features Google’s Actua Display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, which is twice as bright as the Pixel Watch 2. This means that you can see the screen clearly even in direct sunlight.

Furthermore, with bezels decreased by more than 16%, the Pixel Watch 3 has a larger active screen surface. You receive larger screen real estate — over 10% more on the 41mm model and 40% more on the 45mm model — which makes it easier to interact with apps and notifications.

Battery for the Pixel Watch 3

Google’s latest Pixel Watch 3 features considerable battery improvements, notably in the bigger model. The smaller 41mm version retains its 306mAh battery, providing approximately 24 hours of use with the always-on display. However, it now offers 20% quicker charging.

Meanwhile, the 45mm model features a larger 420mAh battery. With the always-on display enabled, you can use it for up to 24 hours, or up to 36 hours in Battery Saver mode.

The watch comes with a USB-C charger that attaches to the device via pins for a secure connection. You’ll be able to juice up to 50% in 30 minutes, and 80% in about 50 minutes.

Features and Software for the Pixel Watch 3

The Pixel Watch 3 ships with Wear OS 5, which is based on Android 14, and allows for seamless connection with Pixel phones and other Google devices. Here’s how you stay connected and in control:

  • Google Maps: Get directions even when offline.
  • Google Wallet: Make payments and manage transactions directly from your wrist.
  • Nest Cam and Doorbell Notifications: Interact with delivery folks, watch live feeds, and use two-way talk right from your wrist.
  • Google TV Remote: Control your TV directly from your watch—pause, adjust volume, or switch channels without picking up the remote.
  • Pixel Phone Camera Control: Snap selfies or group shots and even use Night Sight for stunning astrophotography, all from your wrist.
  • Call Screen: See who’s calling and why, with the option for Google AI to answer calls if you’re busy or can’t find your phone.
  • Pixel Recorder App: Record memos or songs on the go, then access them from either your watch or phone.
  • Loss of Pulse Detection: This life-saving tool is designed to get you emergency help fast if your heart suddenly stops beating.

The Pixel Watch 3 includes several new fitness and health capabilities. For example, when you go for a run, your form is analyzed using powerful motion detection and machine learning. You’ll receive a thorough breakdown of your cadence, stride length, vertical oscillation, and other metrics to help you improve your performance.

It also offers the new Morning Brief, which provides individualized advice on your running form and improvement strategies. Every morning, this feature provides a full summary of your critical health and fitness statistics. You can evaluate your sleep quality, preparedness score, and progress toward your weekly exercise goals. It also shows any odd health data, such as changes in heart rate variability, breathing rate, or SpO2, allowing you to stay on top of your wellness.
