MSI today launched a new high-end gaming monitor in the MPG family, complete with premium technology and specs for gaming aficionados. The new monitor is the MPG 491CQPX, with a 49-inch screen with a QD-OLED display for excellent images and quick reaction. The display is a super ultrawide monitor with a large field of view and a high refresh rate of 240Hz.
The MSI MPG 491CQPX has a resolution of 5120x1440p, which is equivalent to two QHD resolutions, delivering additional information on the screen to engage gamers in open world and auto racing games. The monitor’s next-generation QD-OLED panel allows for precise pixel lighting control and the reproduction of genuine blacks. The contrast ratio is thus 1,500,000:1, resulting in vibrant visuals and an enjoyable viewing experience.

Providing great picture quality through accurate pixel lighting management and true dark scenes, which make images more vivid and lifelike.
- Graphene Film with Custom Heatsink
The new QD-OLED panels all feature Graphene film, which is known for its excellent thermal conductivity for heat dissipation, as well as a bespoke heatsink design. The combination of these two parts allows the entire display to run without an active cooling fan, resulting in a fan-less design. The screen is gently curved with a curvature of 1800R, making it ideal for playing from a distance, and it supports DisplayHDR 400 for vivid details.
The monitor not only supports HDR, but it also includes AI Vision, which exposes details even in darkest places. Users can also enable the Crosshair for simple aim assist and change the color at any time via the OSD menu. The KVM capability allows users to easily swap between machines, which enhances productivity significantly.
The newly enhanced protection capabilities, which use MSI OLED Care 2.0 technology, include multi-logo identification, taskbar detection, and boundary detection. The OLED Care already incorporates enough protective functions for the OLED display, such as Pixel Shift, Panel prevent, and Static Screen detection, to prevent the monitor from picture burn-in.
