I never noticed Metal Slug Attack Reloaded till now. As such, when I booted it up, I had no idea what to anticipate. I recall using the Neo Geo to play the run-and-gun game. I so assumed that this would be in line. However, I was astounded that they have adopted a completely different strategy. I was also captivated by its straightforward yet intense action.

The developer and publisher of this side-scrolling tower defense game is SNK Corporation. Furthermore, you can play it by yourself or challenge other people to an online competition to win the title. This 2D pixelated affair still has that vintage appeal. However, the gameplay of the current tower defense games will grow on you. Sure, it’s very easy to learn, but the fast-paced action makes it difficult to win.

Metal Slug Attack Reloaded looks in a lot of different directions

Metal Slug Attack Reloaded appears to follow a conventional plot at first. But as you go along, you discover that this isn’t the case. The action takes unexpected turns as distinct armies and their narratives emerge. Every distinct place also has a protagonist and unusual characteristics to observe. Therefore, it would be foolish of you to anticipate what will happen.

This unconventional strategy proved to be very effective. You’ll have lots of opportunities for trial and error because there are 300 distinct units to choose from and a wide range of adversaries to avoid. In addition, there are a ton of different tiers to keep you occupied, soldiers to advance, and elements to upgrade.

Interesting gameplay

As you progress through each level, you must rescue four captives. If you succeed, the men will reward you with unusual and fascinating stuff. These weird objects are utilized to strengthen your troops, so rescuing each prisoner is critical. Along with this, you will gain experience points that can be utilized to level up your base, support, and troops. This is critical to your success. If you get this wrong, you won’t make it very far. Unfortunately, this element is very grindy, which may turn some people off.

The grind is time-consuming, but it allows you to experiment with your troop deck. You can choose from any of the armies available, allowing you to create a terrible force of death. Furthermore, you must determine whether you want OTT units that need a lot of action points to purchase. Alternatively, do you use cheap but inferior troops to saturate the battlefield? In either case, you are accountable for what happens, so develop your strategy and execute it correctly.

Metal Slug Attack Reloaded looks incredible

Old-school, pixelated artwork is not for everyone. However, I appreciate the 2D visuals and the intriguing character designs. Furthermore, the stages were spectacular, and the bombardment of missiles and rockets was difficult to see. Though things frequently spiraled out of control, the game never faltered once. Consequently, Metal Slug Attack Reloaded is well-finished and flawlessly polished.

The audio was a jumble of unsettling noises and loud music. Furthermore, you’ll have to deal with some repetitive sound bites, which might be bothersome. However, if you can ignore them, you’ll like the old but forceful music and the brutal noise of each bomb.

Great controls

This fast-paced game should have been terrifying to play. Your troops and your enemy’s warriors clashed regularly. Furthermore, you must think quickly, because relaying commands and purchasing troops might get chaotic. Fortunately, the superb controls and amazing UI keep you on track. After completing the first stage, you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s necessary.

Replay value and longevity are key considerations. This will keep you entertained for hours, even if it is occasionally mindless. However, there is danger that the relentless grind would drive some individuals insane. This is a valid issue, however if you play it casually, you will not become weary of the unpleasant but essential repetition.

Metal Slug Attack Reloaded is an excellent indie game

The tower defense genre performs nicely on mobile devices. But I think it’s a little too repetitious for popular outlets. However, Metal Slug Attack Reloaded gets it exactly right. This excellent indie game is addictive, entertaining, and just a little tough. You will be pushed all the way. As a result, I love it and recommend purchasing it here! Will you travel the world and save the day? Choose your heroes, devise your strategy, and demolish everything in your path.
