ASUS has announced its next-generation WiFi 7 Routers & Adapters, which improve wired and wireless internet connectivity with faster speeds and lower latency.
ASUS provides dual-band and tri-band WiFi 7 speeds with its new ROG Rapture Routers; latest adapters are also displayed.
At Gamescom, ASUS introduced three new cutting-edge devices that enable WiFi 7. These are the triple-band and dual-band routers, as well as an adapter, that will give masses with high-bandwidth WiFi 7 capability for next-generation wired and wireless performance, as well as minimal latency for competitive gaming.
As WiFi 7 functionality becomes available on Windows 11 by the end of 2024, the new adapters and routers will improve customers’ gaming experiences by providing up to 2.4 times faster speeds than WiFi 6 and up to 73% more coverage. The new portfolio includes the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 router, the ASUS RT-BE86U router, and the ASUS ROG USB-BE92 USB WiF7 adapter.
Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE19000
The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 follows the current generation Rapture series, which supports WiFi 6E, and instead delivers tri-band WiFi 7 speeds of up to 19Gbps. The wired bandwidth is substantially larger, reaching up to 31Gbps, and it also offers a number of WAN options, including AI WAN detection on 2.5G and 10G LAN ports. Furthermore, the router supports both 4G LTE and 5G mobile tethering.
This tri-band router has 320MHz channels in a 6GHz band and supports Multi-Link Operation. Additionally, 4096-QAM is provided to improve network capacity and speed. The 4096-QAM provides a 20% improvement in data rate over the 1024-QAM used in WiFi 6, making WiFi coverage faster and more dependable.
The GT-BE19000 supports managing up to five SSIDs using Guest Network Pro, as well as configuring IoT devices, VPNs, and parental controls. Triple-Level Game Acceleration is also enabled, which prioritizes data packets for games and ensures reliable connectivity to the game server, while AiProtection Pro provides powerful protection.
Asus RT-BE86U
The RT-BE86U supports WiFi 7 bandwidth but, like the Rapture GT-BE1900, has dual-band throughput of up to 6Gbps with Multi-Link Operation and 4096QAM. The router has four 2.5G and one 10G LAN ports, which can support up to 20Gbps of total bandwidth. It provides comparable connection, including AI WAN identification, 4G LTE, and 5G mobile tethering via USB.
One significant characteristic of the RT-BE86U is its quad-core CPU clocked at 2.6GHz, which can run intense programs while remaining up to 30% more power efficient than the RT-AX86U. The processor is not only more efficient, but it also has faster clock speeds than the CPU in the latter router and a larger wired capacity. USB.
ASUS ROG USB-BE92
ASUS released the ROG USB-BE92 USB WiFi 7 adapter, which supports tri-band connectivity and can give speeds of up to 6500Mbps. It provides 3.6 times quicker performance than WiFi 6 adapters and includes enhanced security via WPA3 capability. It works with both Windows 10 and 11 and offers USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 Type C and Type A connectors for added flexibility.
